FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Our goal is to make sure you have the best trip possible. So, please don’t hesitate to call if you have any questions or concerns.
What time will the trailer be delivered?
Your trailer’s delivery time will be based on two things; your chosen campgrounds check-in time and our delivery schedule for the day. Each campground has a specific check-in time that we strictly follow. We make our delivery schedule every Sunday for the upcoming week. We do our absolute best to get your trailer delivered to the campground by its specified check-in time but remember you are most likely not the only one getting a trailer delivered that day. Give us a call to ask for your trailer’s approximate delivery time.
What is the checkout time?
We do NOT follow your chosen campgrounds check-out time. Check-out time will be 9:00am, 9:30am, or 10am. The time will be noted on your contract. You can always call to see if anything has changed for a later check-out time. A $50 fee will apply for every half hour you stay in the trailer past your noted check out time. A late check-out greatly impacts our daily schedule. There is a chance the trailer could be going back out the same day. We need time to inspect and clean the trailer. Please be respectful to the next customer.
What is the difference between dry camping, partial hookups, and full hookups?
Dry camping means the trailer has no sewage, electrical, and/or fresh water hookups. You are using the fresh water that is provided with the trailer (60gal). The trailer holds all sewage and waste water in its appropriate tanks. Some campgrounds have full or partial hookups. Full hookups meaning the campground has sewage hookups, electrical and fresh water supply. Partial hookups meaning the campground does not provide all 3. (i.e. may have electrical and fresh water hookups but no sewage hookups.
What are black, galley, gray, and fresh water tanks?
In each trailer there is a digital meter that monitors your tank levels. This is used for DRY camping only. The BLACK is your sewage tank. It is usually around 35-38 gallon capacity. Your black tank can give false readings. Toilet tissue and human waste can get caught on the sensors in the tank giving a false reading. We do our best to make sure each sensor is cleaned and reading correctly before your trailer is deliverd. The GALLEY tank is your kitchen sink waste water. This tank is the small in size usually around 15-20 gallons. Not every trailer has a galley tank. If your trailer does not have a galley tank then all fresh water waste other than sewage will collect in the grey tank. The GREY tank is also the bathroom sink & shower. This tank is usually between 50-70 gallons depending on the trailer. The FRESH water tank is exactly that. Your fresh water storage. This tank is 60 gallons and is delivered full for dry camping only. Once your water is gone, its gone. Do your best to conserve, it goes faster than you think. We do have a mobile sewage pump-out and water delivery service. Inquire about pricing.
Does the customer need to be at the campground at the time of delivery or checkout?
No….A week before your your reservation date you will receive a welcome email. In that email you will be provided with the lock box code to access the keys to the trailer. The lock box is located on the tongue of the trailer. On the day of check-out, lock the trailer and please put the keys back in the lock box. A $50 fee will apply to all lost or damaged keys. We recommend putting the keys back in the lock box every time you leave the trailer. There is no need to take the keys hiking, boating, etc. If you happen to be at the campground at time of delivery we are more than happy to give you a full rundown of the trailer and its functions.
Do we allow pets?
Unfortunately we have a No Pet Policy unless you book a 2017 27 foot bunk house. This is the only trailer we have that allows pets.
A pet fee and pet agreement applies. One pet only. We do not allow multiple pets.
Does the customer need to bring/rent a generator if the campsite does not have electrical hookups?
We do reccomend bringing or renting a generator for all dry camping trips. Each trailer is equipped with a solar system that charges the batteries. This solar system works only if there is sufficient sunlight meaning you are not camping in the shade. If your campsite is shaded by trees, the trailer will lose all function (fridge, heater, water pump) within the first 2 days of your trip. If you get to your campsite and you think you need a generator please call us. We are more than happy to bring out a generator & fuel for the prices mentioned at the bottom of the “Trailers” page. It saves our batteries from being damaged and overall gives you a more comfortable trip. If a generator is needed we ask you to run the generator for an hour in the morning and an hour in the evening. Items in the trailer that will NOT work without a generator: air conditioner, TV, microwave, and 120v wall outlets. You will need a generator or electrical hookups to run these items. If you are planning on bringing a generator please let us know at time of reservation.
What is provided in the trailer?
The trailer comes stocked with a basic kitchen. Please see the list of items provided on the “Rentals” page. Towels and linens are NOT provided. We do NOT provide a garbage can or trash bags.
When do we turn the refrigerator on?
We try and turn the fridge on the morning of your reservation so it can start getting cold for your trip. Keep in mind it takes a good 6 hours to get to its coldest point. If you load the fridge with warm items as soon as you arrive, it greatly delays the max cooling time. We recommend you bring an ice chest for the first day of your trip. The freezer does seem to get colder quicker than the fridge. Also please do NOT put the days catch of fish in the refrigerator. It makes it hard to get the fish smell out for the next customer
Items to remember
Bring drinking water. We highly recommend you do not drink the water from the trailers’ fresh water tank if you are dry camping. Bring plenty of bedding or a bed topper. We do put a 1.5″ foam topper on the master bed but if you plan on using the fold out couch or dinette for extra sleeping, these areas come as is. A topper or extra blankets are recommended for more comfort. If you use a C-PAP machine at night, please let us know at time of reservation so we can make sure everything ready to power the machine (dry camping only). Remember to bring DVD’s for you or the kids! We do have a TV and DVD player in each trailer. DVD player will NOT play Blu-Ray DVD’s. Remember bug spray & sunscreen!
